Villa di Tiberio Nature Trail — low route

1.4 km T-rated trail, approx. 35 minutes, +68/−76 m elevation, from the museum towards the coastal stretch before Bazzano.

Difficulty: facile

The low route of the Villa di Tiberio Nature Trail starts on the SR 213 Via Flacca, in the immediate vicinity of the National Archaeological Museum and the intersection with Via Valle Corsara. The official Parchi Lazio guide classifies it as T (tourist-level), indicating 1.4 km, about 35 minutes, 68 meters of ascent, and 76 meters of descent.

The coastal stretch

After a short walk on the sidewalk, you enter the pedestrian path, which runs along the promontory amidst Mediterranean scrub, with gentle climbs and descents. The route ends just before the public access to the Bazzano beach, connecting the Angolo sector with the Bazzano sector without having to pass through the road tunnel.

Accessibility and services

The first section is marked as accessible up to the short natural stone staircase; the staircase may pose significant difficulties for wheelchair users and those with strollers. There are no water points or rest areas, although there are benches along the trail.

Precautions

Signage is only present at the beginning and the end. Do not lean on or climb over the fences, and do not leave the path to enter the vegetation. Always check the duration and conditions on the official source before setting out.
